Accepting my Shadow Self
We all have them - bits of ourselves that we hide away. Parts we’ve deemed “unholy”, or “unloveable”. The claws and tentacles and ugly faces that are only visible in glimpses - moments where we release control. The other side of the coin of who we are.
This painting is about the step in your journey where you decide to look those at those monsters under the bed, and tell them to get into the bed with you. Pulling your shadow self along by the hand, and saying “you can come too”, along the journey of evolution.
24 x 24 inches, mixed media on stretched canvas (oil and acrylic).
FRAMING
