Hello Body, Let's be Friends
This painting surprised me. When I finished and stepped back, it was like nothing that I ever could have envisioned. And yet, it was deeply familiar. It somehow seemed to combine multiple different styles, in different mediums with different themes that I had explored in the past, into one, cohesive song. This painting is a self portrait. It’s a love note to my body, passed in class, whispering the promise of friendship.
